If you aren’t planning on a church wedding, then the Swan at Streatley is a superb option for your ceremony. Our licensed rooms, the Barge, the Icknield Suite and the Garden Room are capable of hosting smaller intimate weddings as well as comfortably accommodating larger groups of up to 130 guests. It has proved a very popular alternative to Registry Office ceremonies – particularly for second marriages, secular marriages and renewal of vows ceremonies.

We are able to help you to decorate the Barge, The Icknield Suite and the Garden Room and can also help you to arrange for music in the room. Bookings for most of these additional services can be made through the hotel, but it should be noted that the services of the Registrar must be made directly with the Registry Office (details below).

The Registry Office fee will need to be paid to the Registrar at the time of booking and a small statutory fee will also apply to cover the notice of marriage and the marriage certificate and couples are required to liase with the registry office for further information.
