Magdalen College Barge

The Magdalen Barge is a permanently moored Oxford College barge, originally built in 1886 and faithfully restored using the original blueprints. Capable of hosting a reception of up to 50 guests and a conference of up to 40 delegates, it’s in constant demand by organisers looking for a venue that’s truly unique and which adds real prestige.

The Barge is beautifully maintained with stylish brass and exposed timber décor in its split-level interior and is the ideal venue for a smaller function or for an evening reception connected with an event taking place elsewhere within the hotel.

Set upon the river away from the main hotel building, you can expect the only disturbance to be the sound of the Swans landing on the river alongside.
