Christmas House Party

Making the most of our idyllic location there can be no finer way to enjoy the festive season than with the Swan at Streatley’s Christmas House Party.

Christmas Eve

We’ll welcome you into the Drawing Room with a festive afternoon tea, the perfect opportunity to unwind from your journey and to savour the wonderful river views.

Later, wrap up warm and join the Goring and Streatley torchlight procession for Carol singing around a blazing bonfire, afterwards there will be champagne reception and an opportunity for you to meet your fellow guests. A superb candle-lit dinner will follow served in Cygnetures restaurant overlooking the river.

Guests may attend a local midnight mass church service or you may prefer to try a winter warmer of hot chocolate with Poire William with mince pies.

Christmas Day

After a traditional breakfast, why not enjoy a stroll in the grounds? For the more energetic, a treasure hunt in the villages of Streatley and Goring will be great fun, alternatively, treat yourself with a visit to our spa.

Our wonderful Christmas Day luncheon will be served in Cygnetures restaurant from 12.30pm onwards, where you will enjoy the Swan at Streatley’s excellent service and who knows, maybe Santa will pay us a visit. Later that afternoon, watch the Queens speech and take the time to relax, enjoy your surroundings and perhaps have a snooze.

Later our head chef and his team will again impress with an excellent buffet for those feeling peckish!

Boxing Day

A hearty breakfast will be served until late on Boxing Day morning and will certainly set you up for the day.  Our Christmas House Party festive food concludes with Boxing Day Dinner.
